TVCCA’s RSVP Veterans Coffeehouse Hosts Breakfast

CAFCA | May 24, 2018 |

The Thames Valley Council for Community Action's (TVCCA) Norwich RSVP Veterans Coffeehouse hosted a breakfast for Veterans at the Coffeehouse gathering earlier this month. Norwich Bully Busters graciously offered to prepare a full breakfast for all Veterans and guests attending Coffeehouse on that day in celebration of Military Spouse Appreciation Day.

On Military Spouse Appreciation Day TVCCA honored the contributions and sacrifices made by military spouses. Their commitment and support helped to keep our country safe. America’s military spouses are the backbone of the families who support our troops during mission, deployment, reintegration and reset. Military spouses are silent heroes who are essential to the strength of the nation, and they serve our country just like their loved ones.

The Veterans’ Coffeehouse takes place at the United Congregational Church, 87 Broadway, Norwich, on Wednesdays, 9-11AM. RSVP Senior Corps Volunteers run the Coffeehouse for Veterans and their spouses to enjoy and learn about benefits that are available to them. RSVP volunteers are 55+ and are sponsored by TVCCA with the support of The Corporation for National and Community Service to serve their communities in meaningful ways. TVCCA serves limited income individuals and families in Southeastern CT.
