‘Snap back’ program works to compensate families affected by cuts to food stamp program (News 12)
An effort is underway in Bridgeport to help residents impacted by cuts to the federal food stamp program. As low-income families and individuals brace for the cuts to federal SNAP benefits taking place in April, Alex Pena at Gala Foods is teaming up with Dr. Monette Ferguson at ABCD to implement a "snap back" program. Griffin Health chosen to pilot social care coordination network Unite Connecticut (New Haven Register)

Stuff-a-Cruiser for New Opportunities’ Food Pantry
The Meriden Neighborhood Police Unit and the Meriden Council of Neighborhoods recently held a "Stuff-a-Cruiser" event for the New Opportunities, Inc. (NOI) Meriden location food pantry. The Neighborhood Initiative Unit and the Meriden Council of Neighborhoods work closely with each other and community groups to bring positive change to the neighborhoods the unit covers.
